Serenic is Now a Sylogist Company

September 22nd, 2014 2 comments

Serenic Software was acquired by Sylogist in July. Sylogist, headquartered in Canada, is a technology innovation company with a strong focus on the public sector market. The decision to acquire Serenic was based in large part on the integration potential of Serenic products with Sylogist’s existing public sector products, offered through its Bellamy Software division. Overall, Sylogist sees the acquisition of Serenic as a key piece of a global growth platform for the company.

Greater impact on your constituents

Benefits for Serenic

Becoming a Sylogist company will strengthen Serenic’s fiscal management structure and ensure company health moving forward. Serenic will be able to operate more efficiently, profitably, and effectively with streamlined business units that continue to nurture and support our traditional markets, including NFPs, NGOs and public sector organizations around the world.

Future Upgrades to Serenic’s Accounting Software for NonProfits

Following the upgrade of the product to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV R2 release in April of this year, Serenic currently plans to release Serenic Navigator 2015, based on Microsoft Dynamics 2015, in late Fall 2014. The upgrade will focus on easier and better upgrade tools, better integration with Microsoft products such as Office 365, and tablet support.

Serenic’s goal is to empower your mission by helping you do more good with your resources and have a greater impact on your constituents.

InsideNGOs Gift Card Winner Announced

August 18th, 2014 No comments

Christelle Gorman, Operations Assistant, Global Program for the National Alliance of State & Territorial Aids Directors (NASTAD) is the winner of Serenic Software’s $150 Visa gift card drawing staged at the InsideNGOs 2014 Annual Conference. Christelle stopped by the Serenic booth to learn more about Serenic Navigator, Serenic’s financial management software for NGOs, and dropped her business card into the basket for the drawing. We enjoyed visiting with Christelle and hundreds of other NGO representatives who attended the event in Washington, D.C. July 29 – 31. The passion and dedication the attendees have for their missions was overwhelmingly apparent, as they eagerly soaked up all of the information they could to help their organizations have a stronger impact.

One of the most special aspects of the event for those of us in the Serenic booth, which included Serenic Director of Sales Chris Stevenson, Sales Manager Michael Pawlowski, and Director of Marketing Linda Nicholson, was the opportunity we had to renew acquaintances and reestablish friendships with our many customers who were in attendance. The opportunity to work with people who focus every day on making the world a better place is an opportunity we cherish.

As a new member of the Sylogist group of companies, we at Serenic have a very exciting year ahead of us. We can’t wait to see you all again next year to share in person how that excitement translates into new benefits for customers and enables stronger impacts on the missions they serve.

Please join us in welcoming Toby Brauer to the Serenic team.  Toby is our new Regional Sales Manager for the eastern U.S., and brings with him several years of experience working with nonprofits.  For the past 10 years, Toby worked for Blackbaud.  His various roles included account development for the partner channel, inside sales, and account management working with larger boarding schools in the northeast U.S.  Toby earned notable recognition as a top performer and is very familiar with nonprofit financial and fundraising software.

Like some of our other Serenic employees, Toby lives in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.  The Charleston area has now unofficially become the “Serenic Southeast” office.  Toby is originally from Peoria, Illinois (home of CAT) and is an avid sports fan.  He roots for the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and the University of Illinois.  Outside of the office, Toby enjoys staying active playing tennis and basketball. However, his biggest hobby is riding his two motorcycles.  Toby and his wife have two beautiful daughters aged six and nine.
