Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide Navigator system design based on requirements analysis, implementation,
training, and ongoing support services including: high-level and detail design,
software installation and configuration, customization, data conversion, testing,
procedure documentation, group and one-on-one training, on-site and remote support
- Develop effective solutions through in-depth understanding of client processes and
workflows
- Perform light customization including custom reports and work effectively with development
to meet more complex custom programming, integration, data conversion, and upgrade
requirements
- Manage projects through all phases (kick-off through implementation and support)
and provide regular project status updates and budgetary reports to client
- Achieve established objectives and deadlines; ensure that project milestones are
met, and project deliverables are delivered on time, on budget and to specification
- Document, prioritize, and promptly resolve all issues, tasks and risks that arise
at any stage of the client relationship
- Manage client expectations, interact with senior client management, ensure client
satisfaction and ecstasy
- Support business development by assisting sales staff and client services management
with requirements analysis, demonstrations, responses to RFP's, estimates and proposal
preparation
- Conduct partner channel and end-user training classes
Qualifications (ideal candidate):
- Bachelors degree in accounting or other business degree; CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and business practices and processes
- Fund accounting and/or governmental experience a strong plus
- Information systems minor or associate degree, or other formal information technology
education a plus
- Navision certification or any experience using or implementing Navision an extremely
strong plus; experience with Navision, Great Plains, Solomon, or other similar business
software a requirement
- Working knowledge of computer networks
- Some experience with Windows programming tools such as MS Access, FoxPro, Visual
Basic, Delphi
- Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- Articulate verbal/written communications and strong presentation skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure documents
- Formal project management and project status communication skills
- Excellent time management and personal organization with efficient, disciplined
work habits
- Ability to set appropriate priorities, multi-task, and work calmly under pressure
- Equally comfortable working independently or within a team environment
